Lincoln Hosts Ta-Nehisi Coates and Film Screening of Marvel's Black Panther

Join Lincoln for an exciting event with Ta-Nehisi Coates, a national correspondent for The Atlantic, award winning author, and writer of Marvel’s The Black Panther comic book. Ta-Nehisi Coates will open the event by reading from his book, Eight Years in Power, followed by a moderated conversation with Dr. Macheo Payne, Q&A with audience, then a film screening of Marvel Studios' Black Panther.

TICKET INFORMATION

The Eventbrite ticket will NOT get you in the theater.  You must have a Grand Lake Theater Ticket. You can pick up your ticket Will Call from 5-6:30 at at the Grand Lake Theater on the day of the event OR at Lincoln (information below). Attendees are highly encourage to pick your ticket up in advance at Lincoln.

Ticket Pick Up Option 1:
LINCOLN at 1266 14th St. in Oakland on the following dates and times. You will need to bring a photo ID in order to pick-up your ticket. You MAY NOT pick-up tickets for others.

  • Wednesday,  February 14th between 11:30am and 7:00pm
  • Thursday, February 15th between 7:00am and 4:00pm
  • Friday, February 16th between 7:00am and 7:00pm  
  • Tuesday, February 20th between 7:00am-1:00pm

Ticket Pick Up Option 2:
Your ticket will be left at Will Call at the Grand Lake Theater the day of the event. Will call opens at 5:00pm and closes at 6:30pm. You will need to pick-up your ticket first and then get in line to enter the theater. You will need to bring a photo ID in order to pick-up your ticket. You MAY NOT pick-up tickets for others.
