Community Engagement

You can make a difference! If you are interested in supporting Lincoln, there are many ways you can help—from fundraising and working directly with our staff to hosting a field trip to your company for Lincoln youth. You can make a difference in the lives of those in your community who are of the greatest need—engage, volunteer, get involved!

Event Volunteers

Join us at Lincoln's signature events in the spring and fall to celebrate our deep roots in the community and raise funds to support local families!

ROOT Community Fete - May
Join us for a fun evening at Rock Wall Wine Company in Alameda through volunteering in the following ways:

  • Finishing Touches :: Pre-event set-up tasks, from 3:30 - 5:30pm, include setting out marketing materials, creating displays, and assisting with decorations.

  • Welcome Wagon :: Greeters are the first point of contact for guests. From 5:30 - 7:30pm, volunteers welcome guests and direct them to registration tables and coat check. Greeters will also assist during event transitions.

  • Coat Check :: Volunteers work in 2 hour shifts from 6:00 - 10:00pm setting up and supervising the check station, and receiving and ticketing guest's coats.

  • Live Auction :: Fun spirited and energetic volunteers will inspire, spot, and follow up with bidders.

Volunteer Group Opportunities

Recreation
Come hangout with us! Groups of volunteers are needed to support recreational activities for children, youth, and families, including leading activities such as games, arts & crafts projects and outings in the community.

Beautification
We’re looking for partners and corporate teams to invest in the beatification of sites in West Oakland, East Oakland, Hayward, and Pittsburg through painting, organizing, and space improvements.

Donation Drive Leaders
Organize your co-workers, neighbors, or club to collect items from our agency wishlist. Lincoln parents, children, and youth often need support in meeting basic needs throughout the year. Click here to see a list of most needed items.
