This training, located in Oakland, will review and discuss in depth the revisions and changes to the fifth edition of the Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM V) which was released in 2013.
The categories discussed will include, but are not limited to, Neurodevelopmental Disorders (Autism and ADHD), Neurocognitive Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma Related Disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders. In addition, the new diagnoses such as Disruptive Mood Dysregulation, Hoarding and Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorders, Eating Disorders, will be reviewed as well.
The main objective of this training is to understand the organizational structure, significant changes, and new diagnoses in DSM V.
About the Trainer:
Rachael Michaelson, LCSW, began her career more than 20 years ago, and since that time has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and groups in private practice and community mental health settings.

This course meets the qualifications for six (6) BBS CEUs for LPCCs, LCSWs and MFTs.
