The training will address how our collective beliefs shape our perception of the world and how our biology responds. The brain perceives a cultural world that influences our health, longevity, and success. Although early emotional and physical traumas taint our expectations of our future, we have an inherent resilience that can be accessed with the right mind body tools. But since traumas are learned with our thoughts and emotions in cultural contexts, we cannot resolve them with linear reasoning because they are embodied experiences that require more than intellect.
Dr. Martinez's methods can trigger the causes of health and dormant resilience that we have developed as Homo sapiens for the past 150,000 years. Biocognition offers science of hope using a mind body code that can overcome challenges independent of when they traumatized and wounded our worthiness.
About Dr. Martinez:
Dr. Mario E. Martinez is a clinical neuropsychologist. In 1998 he developed his theory of Biocognitive Science based on research that demonstrates how thoughts and their biological expression co-emerge within a cultural history. Academic science continues to divide mind and body, as well as ignore the influence cultural contexts have on the process of health, illness and aging. For example, cultures that support growing older as a positive development associated with increased wisdom and abilities have higher numbers of centenarians living healthier lives, than cultures that view aging as a process of inevitable deterioration.
